PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an endothermically heat storage material which mainly contains n-tetradecane, as a main component, and a specific supercool inhibitor and is useful as a cryogenic energy-storing material for air conditioning system because it affords an improved coefficient of operation performance of the thermal storage apparatus due to its excellent supercool-inhibiting property and excellent stability in repeated phase change. SOLUTION: This material contains (A) n-tetradecane, as a major component, (B) a supercool inhibitor comprising (B1 ) glycerol or (B2 ) a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. diglycerol and polyglycerol) prepared by dehydration condensation of B1 preferably in an amount of less than 10 pts.wt. based on A=100 pts.wt. Diglycerol fatty acid ester and polyglycerol fatty acid ester can also be used as the component B. |
