PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forms a compact current limiting circuit and to reduce the total size of the apparatus by decreasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a power supply PS of the 3-phase, 4-wire system, a rectifying circuit 20 for converting the 3-phase AC into the DC, a smoothing circuit 30 having a couple of smoothing capacitors C1, C2, an inverter circuit 40 for converting DC into AC and a compressor motor CM. A main switch 13 is provided to the first phase and third phase power supply lines L1, L3 between the power supply PS and rectifying circuit 20. Meanwhile, a current limiting circuit 80 is connected between the neutral line LN and the smoothing capacitors C1, C2. The current limiting circuit 80 is provided with a current limiting switch 81 in series with a current limiting resistor 82 and the current limiting switch 81 is turned on to charge the smoothing capacitors C1, C2. |
