<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the adverse influence (irregularities in an image caused by meandering, color smearing, etc.,) of the reaction of a transfer material guide against a transfer material on a moving transfer body and to stably guide the transfer material to a fixing means, with a simple constitution, while meeting the demands of the miniaturization of a device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a transfer carrier 3 for transferring an unfixed image 1 to the transfer material 2 and carrying it, the fixing means 4 which is arranged away from the transfer carrier 3 by a distance L shorter than a maximum transfer material length Lmax, and fixes the image on the transfer material 2 and a transfer material guide 5 which is arranged between the transfer carrier 3 and the fixing means 4, to plunge/guide the transfer material 2 toward the fixing nip area 4a of the fixing means 4. At this time, the transfer material guide 5 is provided with a guide position varying means 6 for changing the position of the transfer material guide 5 toward the deforming side of the loop 2a of the transfer material 2, at the timing of plunging the leading edge of the transfer material 2 into the fixing nip area 4a of the fixing means 4.</p> |
