PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly improve the operability of tabulation editing, etc., by making it possible to automatically turn on and off KANA(Japanese syllabary)- KANJI(Chinese character) conversion, according to attributes set for respective cells. SOLUTION: The respective cells of a displayed table which is being edited have cell information, and each piece of cell information has a KANA-KANJI attribute flag 192, indicating whether a KANA-KANJI converting function is on or off. When a desired cell is specified in the displayed table, the KANA- KANJI attribute flag 192 consisting of the cell information corresponding to the cell, is referred to. Then the KANA-KANJI converting function is switched on or off, according to the set contents of the KANA-KANJI attribute flag 192. The KANA-KANJI attribute flag 192 is set according to whether or not the KANA-KANJI converting function has been used as one of the cell editing menus or in the cell. |
