PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily control the center wavelength of the inhibiting zone range or reflecting range of an optical waveguide grating by fixing an optical waveguide having a grating part in which the refractive index of the core is periodically changed while tension is added to the grating part. SOLUTION: At least a part of an optical fiber 1 has a grating part 2 in which the refractive index of the core 1a is periodically changed along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 1. The optical fiber 1 is fixed on the substrate 3 while tension is added along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 1. As for the substrate 3, a material having small difference in coefft. of thermal expansion from that of the optical fiber 1 is preferable, and a quartz substrate is suitable. The optical fiber 1 is fixed to the substrate 3 with an adhesive 4, which is preferably a UV-curing resin. By adding tension on the grating part 2 of the optical fiber 1, the center wavelength of the inhibiting range can be controlled. |
