PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel the unnaturality of a joint by detecting the EOR/EOF of a stream data file and applying fade-out or fade-in to the joint between the files of the stream data file. SOLUTION: When every EOF of the stream data file is detected by a detecting means 33, a padding means 32 inserts video padding data(VPD) for a prescribed length at the head of stream data file of a background picture. In the case of reproducing this data file, when the EOR/EOF of that file is detected by an EOR/EOF detecting means 34, fade-out processing is performed just for a prescribed time by a fade-out means 35 and during this processing, the VPD are decoded so that the continuity of MPEG information can be kept. Next, when the head frame of the next file is detected by a head detecting means 36, fade-in processing is performed by a fade-in means 37, and the data of this file are successively decoded. |
