PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time until a purchase of a desired article by a customer by retrieving the article information by using the same portable terminal that the customer and a shop assistant can easily use. SOLUTION: The customer or shop assistant sends a retrieval request to an information processor 1 from the terminal device 4 by radio communication, and a processing part 3 judges which of the customer and shop assistant the retrieval requester is, performs retrieval from a data base 2 and sends the article information for the customer or ship assistant to the terminal device 4, and displays it at an input/output part 42. When the customer indicates a purchase of an article through the terminal device 4, the processing part 3 informs the terminal device 11 at the sales counter of the article of purchase information. Further, when the shop assistant indicates the paging of a person in charge through the terminal device 4 for detailed explanation of the article, the processing part 3 sends a paging signal to the pager 12 of the specified person in charge. |
