PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC motor whose product cost can be reduced by shortening the working time for attaching a holding means to a chassis therein. SOLUTION: In the configuration of this motor, there are provided with a chassis 54 with a rotatably attached rotor shaft 56, a rotation detecting plate 58 attached to the end portion of the rotor shaft 56, a detecting means 60 for sensing the rotation of the rotation detecting plate 58, and a holding means 16 to be attached to the chassis 54 which holds the detecting means 60 in a close position to the rotation detecting plate 58. In this case, on the side of the rotation detecting plate 58 of the chassis 54, a plurality of engagement holes 18 are provided, and in the abutting surface of the holding means 16 against the chassis 54, there are provided at least two elastic fastening pieces capable of being engaged with the engagement holes 18 whose ends are formed in the shapes of hooks. |
