摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform a measurement by providing an electrode system having a measuring electrode and a counter electrode, and a reaction reagent system, and containing at least cholesterol dehydrogenase(ChDH), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD) and an electronic mediator in the reaction reagent system. SOLUTION: This sensor has a measuring electrode 4, a counter electrode 5, and a reference electrode 6. A reaction solution 1 is formed of a buffer aqueous solution of Tris hydrochloride containing ChDH, NAD, and potassium ferricyanide and diaphorase as electronic mediator. When a sample solution containing cholesterol is dropped to the reaction solution 7, cholesterol is oxidized by ChDH to form cholesterin, and NAD is reduced to generate NADH, which performs the transfer of electron with ferricyanide ion, and is returned to NAD which is an oxidized body. Since a potential to the reference electrode 6 is applied to the measuring electrode 4, the ferricyanide ion delivers electrons to the measuring electrode 4. The movement of electron is observed, whereby the cholesterol concentration can be quantitatively determined.
