TRACTION TERMINAL STRUCTURE OF OPTICAL CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction terminal structure which has a tension member at its center and has a plastic sheath. SOLUTION: The tension member 2 is fixed into a sleeve part 4 by using a tension gripping member consisting of the sleeve part 4, rib parts 5 and a cylindrical part 6. Optical fibers 8 are drawn outside through the openings of the rib parts 5. Sheath grippers 7 having projections are disposed between the cylindrical part 6 and the plastic sheath 11 of the optical cable 1. The projections of these sheath grippers 7 are bitten into the plastic sheath 11, by which the tension gripping member 3 is fixed to the terminal of the optical cable 1.
