摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable gap motor which integrates a stator/rotor mechanism and an internal gear mechanism to lower the manufacturing cost to assure reduction in size, high torque and reliable rotation of rotor. SOLUTION: In a variable gap motor, a stator 2 has a plurality of electrodes 21 or magnetic poles arranged to form a circle to generate an electrical force between the stator and rotor 1 and a rotor tooth 11 and stator tooth 22 are formed to engage with each other at the circumference surface provided opposed with each other. The rotor tooth shape 11 has the involute tooth shape 11a and the arc tooth shape 11b, 11c connected to be in contact with the right and left tooth surfaces of the involute tooth shape 11a at the area near the root area near the tooth end of the involute tooth shape. The stator tooth shape 22 is set to satisfy the engagement equation of the gear for the rotor tooth shape and the stator tooth shape 22 has the number of teeth more than the number of teeth of rotor tooth shape at least by one tooth. The involute tooth shape 11a is formed in the reference rack where the pressure angle is 40 degrees or more.
