PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the production of a (meth)acrylic acid ester and its production apparatus. SOLUTION: At least acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, an alcohol and a catalyst are charged into a reactor 2 and acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is esterified with the alcohol under heating. The low-boiling component evaporated from the reactor 2 is distilled off in a reactive fractionation column 3 to obtain an acrylic acid ester or a methacrylic acid ester. In the above production process, the acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is brought into contact with its capturing agent during the period after the evaporation and discharge of the acrylic acid or methacrylic acid from the reactor 2 together with the low-boiling component and before the arrival of the acid to the lowermost part of a structure in a fractionation column for improving the gas-liquid contact efficiency and placed in the reactive fractionation column 3. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for the production process.
