PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synchronizing signal detector that detects a synchronizing timing without increasing a time used to detect the head of a frame even when another signal is intruded in a frame synchronizing signal of a digital audio broadcast (DAB) signal. SOLUTION: When an edge detection section detects the trailing edge of a DAB signal, the time of a timer 6 having a period T consecutive for (n-1) times to a block Mn of a memory 16a via an arithmetic section 15a. The arithmetic section 15a resets the timer 6 when the data consecutive for (n-1) times restore to the start period and the output of the timer 6 is equal to the data + a frame period and then resets the timer 6 when the timer 6 provides the output of the T, and the arithmetic section 15a provides the output of an L level to an output terminal for a prescribed period when the timer 6 is reset to zero. |
