SUBSTRATE FOR HEAT TRANSFER RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin substrate excellent in smoothness and cushioning property and suitable for use as the substrate of a donor or image receiving paper used for exposure with laser light and heat development. SOLUTION: A melt contg. polyester or a mixture of the polyester with an elastic polymer and polyolefin having a lower melting temp. than the polyester is drawn and heat-fixed to obtain the objective substrate. The polyester is preferably polyethylene terephthalate, the polyolefin is preferably PP and the pref. apparent specific gravity is 0.9-1.3. It is preferable that the melt further contains at least one selected from among titanium dioxide, barium sulfate and calcium carbonate.
