PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of recovering toner from a cleaning roller to a photoreceptor by using the cleaning roller rotating in a forward direction at the same linear velocity as the photoreceptor and using a developing roller rotating at higher linear velocity than the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The cleaning roller 12 is rotated in the forward direction with respect to the rotating direction of the photoreceptor 1. A developer carrying and feeding member consisting of the developing roller 5 is rotated in the forward direction with respect to the rotating direction of the photoreceptor 1 in the case of recovery of reattached toner on the photoreceptor 1. If it is assumed that the linear velocity of the surface of the roller 12 at the time of reattaching the toner on the roller 12 to the photoreceptor 1 is Vc, the linear velocity of the surface of the roller 5 at the time of recovering the reattached toner on the photoreceptor 1 to the roller 5 is Vd, and the linear velocity of the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is Vp, they are set to Vc=Vp and Vc<Vd. |
