PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a measurement error by using a specified formula by directly outputting a voltage proportional to a bending moment. SOLUTION: When an object member 8 is bent and deformed, a voltage proportional to distortionεof the member is generated at a piezoelectric polymer film 1 and between an electrode 2 (21 and 23) and an electrode 3 (31 and 33). A bending moment M acting upon the member 8 is found from a formula by difference-approximating a space differential of a surface outline W of the member. By so connecting that an average of voltage generated between the electrode 2 (21 and 23) and the electrode 3 (31 and 33) is outputted, and by inputting the output to a measuring amplifier through a lead wire for measurement, the bending moment M acting upon the surface of member 8 at a center position between the electrodes 2 (21 and 23) and 2 (31 and 33) is measured.
