<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate and dispose broken fragments of existing embedded pipes crushed by a shield machine for replacing existing embedded pipes and mud slurry. SOLUTION: A vacuum tank 18 provided with a vacuum pump 19 is connected to the rear end of a muck-discharge pipe 9 conveying broken fragments of the existing pipes crushed by a shield machine together with mud slurry like sewage. And a self-suction pump 20 discharging the mud slurry is installed in the lower position than the connection opening of the muck-discharge pipe 9 of the vacuum tank 18. And also a rotary valve 23 composed of rotary blades 25 discharging the broken fragments or pipes, is attached to the vacuum tank 18 at the lower position than the self-suction pump 20.</p> |
