PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which has two photographing parts and detects focusing state suitable for the respective photographing parts and on which restriction is hardly imposed from a photographing condition concerning the detection of the focusing state. SOLUTION: Transmitted light through a photographing lens is divided by a half mirror C04, either light is guided to silver salt film C08 and the other light is guided to a CCD C21 through a relay optical system C14 to take a picture. The focusing state of the picture on the silver salt film is detected by a phase difference detection system and the focusing state of the picture on the CCD is detected by a contrast detection system. Based on the detected result, the focusing position of the photographing lens 1 or the focusing position of the relay optical system C14 is adjusted to take the picture in focus. When either of the focusing states is not detected, the detected result on the other focusing state is utilized to adjust the focusing position. |
