PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film for a stretch label having excellent heat resistance, scratch resistance and printing effect as a stretch label to be mounted at a columnar or prism-shaped object. SOLUTION: This film for the stretch label is a film 1 of 30 to 150μm thickness consisting of straight chain low-density polyethylene which is polymerized by using a single site type metallocene catalyst and has density of 0.905 to 0.940g/cm<3> . The film is deformed at a velocity of 300m/min in a transverse direction. The stress 0 strain (d) obtd. by measuring a hysteresis curve of <=25% does not exceed 7% and, further, the permanent strain (e) does not exceed 1.5%.
