发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a color tone change in between a minimum impression voltage and a maximim impression voltage by setting the spectral transmission factor of a liquid crystal display panel to a specific relation ship while matching it to the emission spectrum of a light source. SOLUTION: In a transmission type liquid crystal display device, a light source respectively having at least one line of luminance maximum value in respective parts of 400∼500nm, 500∼600nm and 600∼700nm in the emission wavelength area of the light source is used as a light source. Moreover, when transmissivities in wavelength indicating luminance maximum values in respective parts of 400∼500nm, 500∼600nm and 600∼700 of the light source are respectively defined as x, y, and z, a liquid crystal panel having the spectral transmission factor characteristic needed for satisfying the relation ship of x>y>z is used as a liquid crystal panel. As a result, the lowering of the transmissivity in a short wavelength area is suppressed like shown in the Figure and chromacity is not almost changed from a dark state to a bright state and this device is made to have a satisfactory display characteristic. Further, a (C) light source in the Figure means the standard light source of a daylight color.
