PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a metal projection of a part directly to a thermoplastic resin molded item by no use of a metal insert member. SOLUTION: The assembly is a combination of a part 2 having a metal hollow projection 1 and a resin molded item 3, and the resin molded item 3 has an insertion hole 4 with the hollow projection 1 fitted therein, herein, the insertion hole 4 has a groove opened on its wall along the insertion direction, and the hollow projection 1 and insertion hole part of the resin molded item 3 are combined through the agency of mutually transaction compression, and a contraction force of the groove contributes the compression force. The metal hollow projection 1 fixed top the part is inserted in the insertion hole of the resin molded item 3, the hollow part is expanded by compressing the inner wall of the hollow projection part 1, thereby manufacturing an assembly by fitting the hollow projection 1 to the insertion hole part of the resin molded item 3. |
