<p>The device for controlling an acoustic indicator (7) for a motor vehicle, located on the spokes (4) of the steering wheel (1) in the region (6) where the spokes meet the rim (2), includes a first push-button (9) disposed on the front face (10) of the spoke (4), and a second push-button (11) opposite the first and disposed on the rear face (12) of the spoke; the two push-buttons are connected to each other by a rigid connection bar (14) which passes through the thickness of the spoke (4); the push-buttons (9; 11) may be operated respectively by the driver's thumb, and by the other fingers which grip the back of the steering wheel (1) with respect to the driver; the push-button (9; 11) actuates a switch (15) of the capacitive type by way of an actuation element (18; 19) on the bar (14), which activates the acoustic indicator (7). Advantages: the possibility of operating the acoustic indicator independently with either the thumb or the other fingers, enabling the driver to keep the thumb in contact with the steering wheel while steering. <IMAGE></p> |
