PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the slack of a sanding belt by a method wherein when an endless sanding belt is pressed and energized by a press mem ber arranged on the side of the sanding belt, a press by the press member is released in a state that a work is absent and the front and rear edges of a wear resisting belt are lifted. CONSTITUTION:An endless inner belt 15 is disposed inside an endless sanding belt 7 in a state that the lower horizontal running parts thereof are superposed. A pedal device 17 formed such that a press member 28 elevated by a pedal cylinder 27 is arranged inside the inner belt, and the press force of a press member 28 is exerted on the lower horizontal running part of the inner belt 15 through a pad member 29 is provided. In the pedal device 17, a lock edge 64 formed at the lower end of a support member 63 arranged to the cylinder rod 61 of a holding cylinder 60 is positioned facing the two edges of a wear resisting belt 30. In a state that a work is absent, the support member 63 is raised through switch control of the hold, cylinder 60, the wear resisting belt 30 is lifted, and a load, such as a pad member 29, is prevented from being exerted on the belt 15. |
