As an alternative to the residual pain caused by fibrosis or vertebral instability, so common in patients who have undergone surgery on a damaged intervertebral disc, which incapacitates them and turns them into invalids, complex prosthesis systems were implanted in medicine by means of open (minimally invasive) surgery, without satisfactory results. The solution I provide and claim is the articulated original disc prosthesis 20, which is closed and flexible, and devoid of metallic elements, with an innovative fastening system, and both this and the entire structure is formed from osteointegrating material which may also be used in other medical implants. It has two bodies 1, 2 which isolate an elastomer 3 in the centre. The roughness of its faces 4, 5 and the cams 6, 7, 8, 9 fasten the prosthesis upon actuation of the studs 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, embedding them in the adjacent vertebral bodies with which they fuse. <IMAGE>
