A mixture of TiO2, B2O3 and C was pelletized and reacted at > 1773K for 10-24 hours in electric furnace in the reaction gas such as argon, nitrogen or hydrogen, and the obtained composite was quenched under the atmosphere of nitrogen to give the title composite comprising borides and nitrides such as TiN, BN and TiB2. The compound ratio of the product in composite could be controlled at random.
