The object of the invention is a distribution system for liquid, in particular windscreen-wash liquid. This comprises a container 1 of constant cross-sectional area, surface-height measuring device 13 for measuring the liquid level in the container, a distribution flexible hose 6 connected to the lower part of the container, pistol valve 7 fitted with a cut-off valve, and a control unit 21 which operates the pistol valve 7 so that, on the basis of the liquid-level readings provided by the measuring device 13, the required amount of liquid will be made available from the container 1 via the pistol valve. The container 1 is closed, and the system includes a compressed-air source 11 connected to the container, also a monitoring device 18 to keep the pressure in the container 1 effectively constant. <IMAGE>
