This invention concerns a motor vehicle with a drive unit and a gear box unit, as well as an automatic torque transmission system. The aim of the invention is to create a vehicle with an automatic torque transmission system in which the gear levels can be securely and functionally shifted in esentially all relevant operating situations. The invention also has the aim of creating a motor vehicle which is so constructed that, even in the face of problems or defects in the area of the gas pedal system, removal or shifting of a gear drive is possible. The invention achieves this aim by producing a control signal if, when a control element is actuated, a load lever, such as a gas pedal, and a brake are simultaneously actuated. What is more, according to an idea in the invention, it can be purposeful if the gear-shifting gate is divided into at least two areas in which differing threshold values for indicating the intention to shift are used. It can be useful, if the threshold values are changed, i.e. raised or lowered, by the actual values upon reaching or surpassing the threshold values. The changes can also be made with regard to time. |
