Tibial section for prosthetic knee joint

The joint has a plate (2) which is placed in contact with the resected section of the bone and an anchor rod (3) which is engaged in the medullary canal of the bone. These form two independent sections which can be assembled together. There are interlocking boss and cavity sections (15,20) to assure the assembly of the sections to allow assembly of the rod in several positions with respect to the plate. The longitudinal axis of the rod can be offset laterally with respect to the anterio-posterior medial axis of the plate.
