The unit has a U-shaped outer body (2) which encloses a space occupied by upper, middle and lower drawers (41,51) which are used to store the cards and receipts. The drawers are pivotable about a post (3) vertical from one corner of the base by finger pressure on the opposite corner (4) of the drawer. Each card is slid under studs (7) on the edge (6) of its drawer, to abut against a edge (9) at the back. Receipts are gripped between the floor (10) of their drawer and a tongue (12) cantilevered on a rear edge (11). The unit is held closed by bosses (13) on the inside of the base and the lid.
