A side folding wheelchair comprising front, 1 and rear, 2 mounting elements made from lightweight materials such as plastics or aluminium into which the tubes , 5, 6 that make up the frame of the chair are slotted. The scissor elements 3 each have an upper and a lower T joint which pivotally connects with frame tubes 5 and upholstery support member 7. The mounting elements ensure a lighter wheelchair and permit modular construction. |
