ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE SURFACE RELEASE POLYMERS

A polymeric material which is electrically conductive and possesses surface release properties is disclosed. The polymeric material comprises in polymerized form 1 to 80 weight parts of a polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated ammonium precursor; 0.1 to 10 weight parts of a polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated, organo-silicone precursor; and 5 to 95 weight parts of a multifunctional polymerizable precursor containing at least two ethylenically unsaturated functional groups. The copolymers may be in the form of coatings, fibers, or other solid shapes, and are useful as release materials and antistatic coatings.
