The fruit picker has a crown (1) with circumferentially spaced tines (2). The number of tines and the spacing between same can be varied at least in one area of the crown. The crown can comprise several relatively movable parts. At least one displaceable unit (4) with tines can be fixed on the crown which has fixed tines so as to move relative to same so that the tines of the movable unit match the width and spacing of the fixed tines.
