SPATIAL FILTER FOR A MULTICORE FIBRE, AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME

An optical device for transmitting incident radiation is disclosed. The device comprises a multicore fibre (40) or multifibre which in turn comprises a set of cores (34, 36, 38) separated by so-called intercore areas (42, 44, 46, 48); and a spatial filter (56) for filtering the propagation modes of a higher order than the fundamental mode in each core, while avoiding the injection of incident radiation into the intercore areas. A method and a device for making said spatial filter, as well as an endoscopic device and an imaging device comprising such an optical device, are also disclosed.
