The connecting piece (7) has a U-shape matched to that of the hook (5) of the wiper rod (4) and is formed from two arms (8) connected to one another by a shoulder (9), which between them form a securing recess (13), open in the direction of the arm ends, for the link bolt (12) of the wiper blade (1). The connecting piece also has lateral guide cheeks, on which in the area of the shoulder prolongations with securing cams (10) are formed. The prolongations can be laterally moved outwards into a position outside the side walls (2) of the support stirrup of the wiper blade.
