The mechanism has a front plate (1) with an opening (2) for cartridge (5) insertion, a rotatable door (7) on the reverse side of the front plate, an elastic element (8) for biasing the door in the opening-closing direction and a locking device (10) for preventing rotary motion of the door. The locking device has a locking region (10b,10c), which detains and releases the door, and a region (10d) for applying opposing pressure, which protrudes into the opening. The inserted cartridge presses against the latter region so as to separate the locking region and the door from each other.
