摘要 The method includes the scanning (3) of the time varying signal form to a time, produced by a scanning cycle (4), to give a sequence of digital amplitude values. These are stored in a circular address input storage (6) with k addressable positions. The earliest stored value is overwritten by the newest just stored digital amplitude value. A trigger signal (7) is produced from the time varying signal form, with the occurrence of a selected signal form signal in the same. The next n digital amplitude values are then stored in the input storage, n is selected to fulfill: O at most n at most n max. The time intervals between the occurrence of the trigger signal and a time limited event of the scanning cycle is measured as a trigger displacement. A time stamp value is produced (10) along a time axis, with an origin set before the start of the oscillograph representation, and the axis extends to cover the longest length of time expected. The storage of the contents of the circular address storage, of its allocated trigger displacement value, and its assigned time stamp value as a detection data set (14a, 14b, 14c) in a detection storage (14).
