Vacuum valve with cylindrical insulating container

The valve has a pair of end plates (12,15) for closing both face areas of container, pair of electrodes (18,19) and collar shield. The pair of electrodes are movable to and from each other and are fitted in a hermetically sealed container (22) which consists of the insulating container and the two end plates. The collar shield (20) is so formed that it encloses the two electrodes and with one its ends is soldered to an end plate. The collar shield is also formed that the point where molten solder runs out is located outside the hermetically sealed container. The end plate has an outwardly bent edge formed by bending one end of the collar shield outwards and on its outer periphery has a first locking section formed by downward bending, in order to match the outer periphery of the end plate.
