Method for producing parabolic mirror from plate glass pane

The centre (3) of the plate glass pane (1) is first placed on the centre of a convexly curved parabolic surface (4) and then it is pressed with the outer annular frame (2) against the parabolic surface. While in a position clinging to the parabolic surface, the frame and at least one fixture ring (5) possessing an at least 20% smaller diameter is stuck to the centre of the plate glass pane. The contact surfaces (7) of the frame and fixture rings (5,6) are slanted so that they are at a tangent to the parabola shape of the parabolic surface. The frame has a collar (8) enclosing the edge of the plate glass pane. The gap between the edge and the collar is filled with adhesive plastic (9).
