IF signal output coupler for teraherz mixer

The output coupler includes an integrated amplifier for a mixer with an aerial and a Schottky diode (2) which is mounted on a circular structure. The IF signal is decoupled at a linear structure to feed the IF signal to the amplifier via a short path. Preferably, the planar structure is provided in form of photolithographically applied conductor structures on an Al2O3 ceramic plate (1). The mounted diode is separated from earth connection by a 30 micron wide groove (4).
