X=ray tube containing two gas getters

摘要

A novel x-ray tube contains two getters for binding free gases, one getter (11) being located in a relatively high temperature region near the anode (3) and the other getter (12) being located in a relatively low temperature region. Preferably, the one getter (11) binds reactive gases capable of strong chemical bonding with the getter material and is made e.g. of zirconium or alloys of zirconium with vanadium and iron, with carbon or with aluminium, while the other getter (12) is capable of physical dissolution of hydrogen and is made e.g. of zirconium or alloys of zirconium with vanadium and iron, with carbon, with aluminium or with nickel.
