The formulation of an excellent hair conditioning and dying is prepared by mixing 0.01-1.0% w/w of cationic surfactant(s); cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, stearyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, PEG-2 oleyl methyl ammonium chloride, 0.1-5.0% w/w of anionic surfactant(s); sodium methyltaurate, sodium methylstearoyltaurate, calcium cocoyl hydrolized collagen, 0.1-10.0% w/w of aliphatic alcohol containing C8-22 alkyl group; cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, and 0.025-10.0% w/w of acid dye so that the cationic surfactant-acid dye weight ratio is 1-4:10, as well as adjusting the pH to 2.0-7.0.
