Despatch envelope with easy tear opening strip

The envelope has a blank of tearable material with reinforced preferably corrugated structure (26) having on the inside a stuck-on easy tear strip (23) running close parallel to a long edge of the envelope at right angles to the main reinforcement direction. The grip end of the strip is set in a corner of the envelope which is left free of the closure flap (13). The grip end can be connected to a grip tab (24) forming an integral part of the envelope blank. Fold lines (17-20) close to the long and cross edges are formed by parallel indents to allow the envelope to fold more into a packet.
