In a process for renovating the visible inlet zone (12) of a drain valve (10) mounted in a bath tub, shower tub or similar washing tub, a ring-shaped patch (22) which matches the outer shape of the inlet zone is glued on the inlet zone. The patch (22) is 0.1 to 0.2 mm thick and is preferably made of a cut-out and shaped brass sheet with a polished and chromium-plated surface. This process allows a drain valve to be renovated easily and cost-effectively without having to remove the drain valve. |
