PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid developer not causing offset development at the time of using a heat roll fixing system by incorporating a copolymer of a monomer having an active halogen atom and an acrylic monomer. CONSTITUTION:The developer contains the copolymer of the monomer having the active halogen atom in an amount of 0.5-10wt.%, preferably, 2-5wt.% of the total copolymer as said monomer units, and the acrylic monomer. The toner substance attached or stuck to the heat roll is heated by the heat roll and the active halogen atom for constituting said copolymer as the active component releases from the copolymer molecule, and the active site produced by the release combines with another molecule, thus increasing in the molecular weight, thus permitting its melt elasticity to increase with time lapse, and even in heating to temp. higher than fixing temp. by the heat roll not to transfer to the head roll or a press roll, and accordingly, the reverse side staining to be prevented. |
