PURPOSE:To enable repeated modification of a running position indicated on a road map, by a simple operation, by selecting a node point having an excellent evaluation value second to the node point that is located in front of and nearest to a position which corresponds to the position of a vehicle displayed in an image display means and which is estimated and calculated by a position estimating computation means. CONSTITUTION:Every time when a position modification instruction is delivered from a position modification instruction element 13, a node point having an excellent evaluation value second to the node point that is located in front of and nearest to a position which corresponds to the position of a vehicle displayed 31 as an image on the occasion and which is estimated and calculated by a position estimating computation means 21, out of node points that are located in front of and nearest to the position estimated and calculated by the means 21, respectively, is selected by a position selecting means 23 in a control element 20. Then, the position which takes the selected node point as that located in front of and nearest to it and which is estimated and calculated by the means 21 is selected as a modified position and displayed as the modified position of the vehicle by the mans 31. |
