<p>A recreational console suitable for use on a golf course comprising a body 20 having an upper portion 21 supporting a console 23 housing at least one removable recreational module (eg ball cleaner 52, fig 7, ticket/tee/drinks/sand and seed dispensers, electronic card swipe/score tally and audio information modules, figs 8-10) and a base portion 22. The body 20 is preferably hollow to provide for a litter bin (34, fig 4) which may be accessed via a self-closing litter flap attached to an overhanging lip to prevent rain water from running into the body 20 (fig 6). The console 23 may have a sloping upper surface 40 defining an opening 41 for receiving at least one of the recreational modules. Recessed areas 42, (43 fig 5), 45 may mount graphic sheets for adverts/module/course information. Recreational modules (eg shoe cleaner 59, fig 11) may be in lower portions of the body 20 and there may be a bag rest (fig 3). The body can be free standing or mounted to a plinth 28. The recreational console can give local/educational information at museums, historical sites and national parks.</p> |
