Ball joint

The ball-and-socket joint has a spherical end (1b) of a bearing pin (1) received within a plastics seating (2) which can rotate and tip within a bearing housing (3). The seating is secured within the housing via a metal ring with a two armed cross-section. The inner arm (6a) secures the seating and the outer arm (6b) engages an annular rebated edge (3e) of the bearing housing at its free end (6d).
