PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely read information even when the prescribed place of the surface of an information recording symbol is protruded or curved by changing the direction of information light for the information recording symbol fetched from a data fetching port by a reflection board, and then entering the light into an image pickup element. SOLUTION: In a handy terminal 7, a shutter device capable of moving a shutter 15 in a prescribed direction, an irradiating device 17 for irradiating the data symbol 4 with a prescribed light quantity and reflecting boards 19a and 19b for guiding read information to an information fetching device 18 are provided. In this constitution, picture data of the data symbol 4 reflected upward by light is horizontally reflected on the reflecting board 19a toward the reflecting board 19b, and reflected to the left as shown by arrow in the figure by the reflection board 19b, then made incident on the device 18. Thereby an optical route between the data fetching port and the image pickup element which are close linearly can be extended. |
