A data display screen has a time display area which displays a succession of sampling times at predetermined time intervals, and a step number display area which displays the numbers of steps which are executed at the sampling times. The data displayed on the data display screen indicates that the steps of a parallel branch section require respective execution times corresponding to different sampling periods, respectively. As a result, it can be seen at a glance which steps determine the execution speed of the entire parallel branch section.
