MANUFACTURE OF DECORATIVE MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a decorative molded product good in surface properties and composed of a thermosetting resin within a short molding time. SOLUTION: A printed or colored base material is impregnated with a thermosetting resin compsn. prepared by adding 0.2-3 pts.wt. of org. peroxide (e.g.; 1,1-bis-tertiary hexyl peroxy-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane) of which the one-hr half-life temp. is 100-115 deg.C and 0.3-4 pts.wt. of org. peroxide having a half life temp. of 120-150 deg.C (e.g.; tertiary butyl peroxy benzoate) to 100 pts.wt. of a thermosetting resin (e.g.; unsaturated polyesyet resin) to form a sheet for decorative molding and this sheet is placed on a mold and a thermoseting molding material is placed thereon and, thereafter, the mold is closed to perform the heating pressure molding of the sheet and the molding material.
